Dr. Md. Moinul Hoque, born on February 1st, 1977, to Md. Abdul Hoque and Mrs. Suraiya Begum, is a dedicated ophthalmologist specializing in oculoplasty and ocular oncology. He completed his MS in Ophthalmology and pursued long-term fellowships in orbit & oculoplasty from the National Institute of Ophthalmology & Hospital (NIO) and oculoplasty & ocular oncology from the Centre for Sight, Hyderabad.
Currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University since March 19, 2018, Dr. Hoque has demonstrated excellence in patient care, teaching, and research. His professional journey began as a Medical Officer in the same department in May 2004, progressing to the role of Consultant in July 2013.
Dr. Hoque extends his expertise beyond his primary institution, serving as an Honorary Consultant at Prof. Mostafizur Rahman Charitable Eye Hospital and Karamtola Christian Hospital, as well as a Visiting Consultant at Lifebuoy Friendship Hospital and Emirates Friendship Hospital.
He has received extensive training from reputable institutions such as the National Institute of Ophthalmology, Dhaka, and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University. Dr. Hoque is an active member of professional organizations including the Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA), Ophthalmological Society of Bangladesh, Bangladesh Community Ophthalmological Society, and Bangladesh Oculoplasty Surgeon Society.
